About the Artist Elena Svetlova

My name is Elena Svetlova, and I am an artist whose work combines painting and sculpture, creating a unique artistic world. My love for art began in childhood when drawing and sculpting became an integral part of my life. This early passion evolved into a professional path after graduating from university, where I deepened my knowledge and skills in fine arts.

Since 2009, I have actively shared my expertise by conducting masterclasses for both individual students and groups. The ability to inspire and teach others brings me immense joy, and I strive to spread the love for creativity.

Acrylic painting holds a special place in my work. Using the rich possibilities of acrylic paints, I create vibrant and dynamic artworks, blending delicate transparent layers with bold, textured strokes. This technique allows me to convey depth and energy, making each piece truly unique.

In 2023, I held a personal exhibition titled "Exercis," which became a significant milestone in my artistic journey.

The main directions in my art are urban landscapes, abstraction, and marine art. Urban landscapes occupy a special place in my heart, as my education and professional path are closely connected with architecture. I graduated from university as an architect, which greatly influenced my artistic approach. Architectural precision and attention to detail have become integral aspects of my work, enabling me to recreate the images of my hometown with love and respect. However, I aim to go beyond merely capturing precise lines and forms. For me, it is essential that every landscape conveys life — the rhythm of streets, the breath of the city, its unique atmosphere. I strive to infuse my works with emotional depth, bringing not just visible beauty but also the sensations a place evokes. In my paintings, the city becomes more than a backdrop — it transforms into a protagonist, telling its story through lines, light, and shadows.

My abstract works stand out for their multilayered compositions, evoking a wide spectrum of emotions and thoughts in the viewer. My marine landscapes are characterized by lively textures and a delicate play of light, capturing the movement and infinity of the water’s surface.

I am an active member of several artistic communities, including the Society of Kuban Artists, the Eurasian Union of Artists, and the Union of Russian Artists. These affiliations allow me not only to exchange experiences with colleagues but also to participate in cultural projects and strengthen connections within the art world. My works are part of private collections and galleries, valued for their individuality and deep reflections of the world. Each of my paintings is more than just an image — it is a story filled with emotions and experiences that I generously share with the viewer.
